In 1953, when EDANJ was founded as the New Jersey Industrial Development Association, the field of Economic Development was in its infancy. The association brought together state-wide professionals to share information, develop strategies, and promote the development of New Jersey.

Today, the Association has embraced the challenges of our technology-based global economy and the membership now focuses its energy on enhancing and promoting the best use of the state’s resources in meeting today’s business demands. EDANJ members, drawn from the private and public sectors, enhance their abilities as the best in their fields through participation in Association meetings and informational seminars.
