EDANJ is delighted to announce as the 2015 recipient of the Franklin-Maddocks Award for Economic Excellence: The New Jersey Foundation for the Blind.

The NJ Foundation for the Blind (NJFFB), located in Denville, NJ, is recognized for its programs to increase the independence and wellness of blind and vision impaired adults and for the positive economic impact that their work contributes to the State of New Jersey.

Vision impairment has a $51 billion economic impact annually in the United States; $11 billion is calculated nationally for early nursing home placement of the blind and vision impaired. NJFBB helps adults who are blind or vision impaired through many services, including training in revolutionary assistive technologies through its iSee Program - iPad/ iPhone Training, Technology Program.

EDANJ is proud of the versatility of its annual award: past recipients include private sector developers, former government officials, and 501©3 not for profit organizations, all of whom have left their own unique mark on the economic health of the Garden State.
