For Economic Development Professionals: Rutgers Environmental Funding Course

Make plans in the New Year to catch up on the state of financial affairs at this year’s Environmental Funding Course at Rutgers University on January 30. 2013.  This one-day seminar will present programs and strategies to fund environmental remediation, economic development and renewable energy projects. The moderators encourage thoughtful discussion and questions throughout the day.  Part of the day’s discussion will include:

  • the potential impact of NJ’s recent Solar Bill on brownfields and landfills by Scott Hunter, BPU;
  • financing renewable energy projects by Paul Reducha, CPA, Savannah Energy
  • the potential for creative financing partnerships by George Vallone, President, Hoboken Brownstone Company;
  • the overall state of lending by Hal English, VP, First Choice Bank;
  • opportunities for economic development funds from Federal Agencies by Charlie Bartsch, USEPA
  • updates on remediation/redevelopment funding programs from DEP, EDA and NJ Environmental Infrastructure Trust.
