EDANJ Makes Recommendations to NJ Economic Development Authority
The Economic Development Association of NJ (EDANJ) and other interested industrial development organizations in New Jersey recently sent suggestions to Caren Franzini and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority on ways to improve the Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund and the state’s Brownfield Reimbursement Fund. Suggested are ways to reform the criteria and process for incentivizing brownfield cleanups and redevelopment in the Garden State. By following the recommendations, NJ should be able to revitalize the HDSRF to ensure a workable, accountable, and sustainable funding program. EDANJ will keep you updated on any response to the letter, formation of a stakeholder process for which we volunteered our service, or any other progress on the Fund and the reimbursement program.
