Maggie Peters is the Director
of the Bergen County Economic Development
Corporation (BCEDC), a not-for-profit public/private
partnership dedicated to growing the economy of
Bergen County, NJ through programs, services and
activities that result in business attraction,
retention and creation.
BCEDC provides site selection, demographic and
market data and ombudsman services to companies
interested in expanding within or relocating to the
county. BCEDC also coordinates the delivery of
economic development programs, services and
incentives available through the State of N.J., area
utilities and community partners.
Prior to joining BCEDC Maggie was the Executive
Director of the Morris County Economic Development
Corporation (MCEDC), also a not-for-profit economic
development organization.
Maggie is a graduate of the Economic Development
Institute (EDI), accredited by the International
Economic Development Council (IEDC) and earned her
Economic Development Professional Certification
(EDP) from the Northeastern Economic Developers
Association (NEDA).
Maggie holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and
a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from
William Paterson University (WPU).
