Maggie Peters is a
Senior Community Development Officer at the NJ
Economic Development Authority (NJEDA). NJEDA is an
independent State agency that finances small and
mid-sized businesses, administers tax incentives to
retain and grow jobs, revitalizes communities
through redevelopment initiatives, and supports
entrepreneurial development by providing access to
training and mentoring programs.
Maggie is responsible for marketing, promoting and
selling NJEDA's incentive resources to developers,
service providers, municipalities and other key
organizations to develop a pipeline of viable
complex and high value catalytic real estate
development, business attraction and retention
projects in NJ.
Maggie was formerly the Director of the Bergen
County Economic Development Corporation (BCEDC).
BCEDC is a public/private partnership dedicated to
growing the economy of Bergen County, NJ through
programs, services and activities that result in
business attraction, retention and creation.
Prior to joining BCEDC Maggie was the Executive
Director of the Morris County Economic Development
Corporation (MCEDC), also a public/private county
wide economic development organization.
Maggie is a graduate of the Economic Development
Institute (EDI), accredited by the International
Economic Development Council (IEDC) and earned her
Economic Development Professional Certification
(EDP) from the Northeastern Economic Developers
Maggie holds a Masterís degree in Public Policy and
a Bachelorís degree in Political Science from
William Paterson University (WPU).
