Adam Farrah
Adam Farrah has been
providing assistance to small businesses for over 25
years. Joining Union County Economic Development
Corporation (now known as UCEDC) in 1987 as the
Director of Financial Programs, he currently serves
as UCEDC’s Vice President, overseeing its financial
programs as well as its government procurement
assistance and business development divisions.
Additional responsibilities include the preparation
and related reporting functions connected with
various foundation grants and performance-based
contracts.
UCEDC is a private, nonprofit Community Development
Financial Institution (CDFI) that fosters economic
growth in New Jersey. It accomplishes this by
providing financial and technical assistance to new
and existing businesses with emphasis on benefiting
under-served people and communities.
Prior to joining UCEDC, Adam was the senior loan
officer for the Elizabeth Development Company for
several years.
In 1998, Adam was the recipient of the SBA's New
Jersey Financial Assistance Advocate of the Year
Award. He currently serves on the executive board of
the Greater Elizabeth Chamber of Commerce.
Adam is a graduate of Stockton State College. He is
a resident of Mountainside, NJ and is the father of
twin daughters.
